The Luckiest: Cocktail Fifteen Minutes

We arrived at the Children's Museum with just enough time to enjoy a few appetizers, some whirlwind socializing, and, for me, a quick peek into the Grand Hall to see our reception set-up for the first time (Mr. Octo was more interested in having a gin and tonic with his buddies). Bridesmaid Katie put a cocktail in my hand within minutes of walking through the door, the reception looked fantastic, and I was in a great mood, finally relaxed and happy and ready to enjoy the party.

  1. Hi! I just stumbled upon your blog today, as I am starting to plan my own Steel City wedding (while living in Virginia). I must say - your wedding looks like it was fabulous. I would love to hear your thoughts on reception venues (since you mentioned you looked at seven! I would love to hear which ones you visited, why you decided not to go with them, etc.) if you are willing to share: debernardinj@gmail.com

Thanks, and best of luck with married life!
